Background Discussion

Manatee County is responsible for 1,266 lane miles of paved roads across the County. This presentation will discuss how this system is managed, the repair techniques used, current condition assessment and future funding and repair needs. The presentation is designed to provide a high level overview of all the key components used in the pavement management process. The 2 key lessons to be gained from the presentation are 1) how similar the pavement network is to other systems that are managed such as vehicle/equipment fleets and buildings and 2) right road, right time, right method.


The presentation will cover the following topics:
