Change Order 1 to Agreement 14-0846OV, Southwest Water Reclamation Facility (SWWRF) Nitrogen Removal

Authorize the County Administrator or his designee to execute Change Order 1 to Agreement T1400056 with Vogel Bros. Building Co., decreasing the total contract sum by $200,013.93 and adding 196 calendar days to the final completion schedule.

Change Order 1 reduces the Agreement by $200,013.93 from $12,782,000.00 to $12,581,986.07.
The changes provide the following:
The benefits created by these modifications include cost savings to the County through providing for an equivalent quality end product and allowing for safe installation methods. This change enables plant staff to operate the facility with less impact of potential spills during seasonal high flows.
This change requires adding 196 calendar days to the schedule, which changes the final completion date from April 29, 2016, to November 11, 2016.
On November 6, 2014, the BCC executed an Agreement with Vogel Bros. Building Co., Lakeland, FL, in the amount of $12,782,000.00.
