Report on the topic "All Things Housing", Work Session #2 in a three-part series (January 19, February 16, and March 15) to review Affordable and Workforce Housing in Manatee County.
State Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP)
Upon request of the Board, the Neighborhood Services Department has developed a three-part series to meet with experts to discuss Affordable and Workforce Housing in Manatee County. Work Session #1 was held on January 19, 2016.
Presenters will address rules, regulations, perceived needs, and potential requirements for Affordable and Workforce Housing in Manatee County. Local providers and users of Affordable and Workforce Housing will also review current issues and concerns.
Upon completion of the three-part series, the Board will have detailed information to proceed with Land Development Code changes and other housing funding decisions. In turn, the community can move forward in meeting current and future demands for Affordable and Workforce Housing in Manatee County.
Part #2 presentation topics; Federal CDBG/HOME Programs, Emergency Solutions Grant, Community Housing Development Organization, Affordable Housing Impact Fee Refund Program, Manatee Chamber Young Professionals, M3 Manatee Millennial Movement, Manatee County Housing Authority, Bradenton Housing Authority.
