Approval and acceptance of Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Funding Order B6445D in the amount of $101,812 and adoption of Budget Resolution B-20-029 amending the Annual Budget of Manatee County, FL, for Fiscal Year 2020.
Florida Statutes Chapter 125
On October 22, 2019, the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners signed the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Derelict Vessel Final Removal Funding Opportunity Program application for the removal of the Caroline C, an 80-foot, 170 ton, steel freighter that took on water and sank in the Manatee River.
The cost to remove the vessel is $135,750. The funding application was approved for 75% ($101,812) of the cost. West Coast Inland Navigation District (WCIND) funding will be used for Manatee County's 25% ($33,938) share of the cost.
Approval of Budget Resolution B-20-029 is requested.
