Southwest Florida Water Management District FY13 Cooperative Funding Agreement

Authorization for Chairman to execute the FY13 Cooperative Funding Agreement between the Southwest Florida Water Management District and Manatee County for the construction of a 10 million gallon (MG) Reclaimed Water Storage Tank at the Southeast Wastewater Reclamation Facility.

In November of 2011, the Utilities Department requested a FY13 Cooperative Funding Grant from SWFWMD for the construction of a 10 MG Reclaimed Water Storage Tank to be built at the Southeast Wastewater Reclamation Facility. The Project request to SWFWMD was approved for funding, pending the Agreement execution, with construction starting in 2014 with completion in 2015 as described in the current approved Utility CIP.
The Project consists of design and construction of a 10 MG reclaimed water storage tank and pump station to support the Manatee County Agricultural Reuse Supply System (MARS) and increase reliability and pressure within the reclaimed water distribution system. The anticipated total cost of the project will be $6,117,494 with SWFWMD funding up to $3,058,747.
