
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (July 10, 2023) – Manatee County is accepting applications for four (4) seats on the Children’s Services Advisory Board (CSAB). The CSAB makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners about priorities and expenditures of the County’s dedicated millage for children’s services.
The openings are as follows:
- 2 Child Advocates
- 1 NAACP Representative
- 1 School Board Representative
Each seat has a three-year term, beginning October 1, 2023, and ending September 30, 2026. The vacant positions must be filled by Manatee County residents.
The CSAB Schedule is as follows:
- Annual Retreat: First or second Friday of October, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Regular CSAB meetings: October to January, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
- Application Review and Recommendation meetings February to May, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
- Regular CSAB meetings: June to September, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
To qualify for consideration, applicants must submit the following by Friday, August 11, at 3 p.m.:
- Advisory Board Application
- Children’s Services Advisory Board Supplemental Questions (Page 4 of the Advisory Board Application)
- Resume or a Curriculum Vitae (CV)
