MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Jan. 31, 2020) – Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) will change several routes on Sat., Feb. 8 as a result of the Green Bridge closing for the Bradenton Area River Regatta.

Fixed route service between the Downtown Bradenton Transit Station and the Palmetto Transit Station will be provided via shuttle buses that will detour to/from both stations, via the DeSoto Bridge. (See attachment)

The Green Bridge closure impacts MCAT Routes 1, 13 and 201, known as the North County ConneXion. Those routes will not cross the Green Bridge and will begin and end all trips at the Palmetto Station, where passengers can transfer to and from shuttle buses.

There will interrupted service on 8th Ave. West in Palmetto all day Saturday.

The fixed route detours due to the Regatta will be in effect all day on Feb. 8. Riders can expect travel delays traveling between MCAT stations, as event impacts travel corridors in both Bradenton and Palmetto.
