MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Dec. 23, 2020) —Below is a listing of upcoming holiday closures across Manatee County Government.
County offices will be closed:
- Christmas Eve, Thurs., Dec. 24
- Christmas Day, Fri., Dec. 25
- New Year's Day, Fri., Jan. 1, 2021
Garbage, yard waste and recycling are suspended on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Collection services are postponed one day, so Friday collections will take place on Saturday.
On the days government offices are closed, public parks, preserves and beaches remain open to the public. Manatee County and Buffalo Creek golf courses will be closed on Christmas Day.
G.T. Bray Recreation Center will will be closed on Thurs., Dec. 24, Fri., Dec. 25 and Fri., Jan. 1. The Recreation Center will close at 6 p.m. on Wed., Dec. 23 and Thurs., Dec. 31.
Manatee County public libraries will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
All MCAT buses will stop running at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve. The Anna Maria Island Trolley will stop running at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
There will be no fixed route or Handy Bus, service on Christmas Day or New Year's Day. The Anna Maria Trolley and Beach ConneXion Shuttle will operate on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays through the Christmas break.
