MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Jan. 8, 2020) – Manatee County will host a Jan. 29 meeting to help local non-profit agencies interested in applying for human services grants to assist Manatee County residents.

The new online application for Fiscal Year 20/21 is results-based. Each question has both guidance and examples within the application, readily available to applicants. All applications must be submitted by March 6. Visit the County's Human Services Funding page for more information on how to apply.

Neighborhood Services Department representatives will discuss application deadlines and changes to the application at a meeting Jan. 29 at 9 a.m. at the United Way Suncoast office in Lakewood Ranch, 4215 Concept Court, Bradenton. Agencies looking to apply for the Children’s Services

Dedicated Millage funds to help disadvantaged children and families in the community as well as agencies wishing to receive General Revenue funds to assist adult residents or provide other services to Manatee County are encouraged to attend the Jan. 29 meeting.

Investments are awarded on a competitive basis and the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners determines the amount available each year. County assistance programs are paid on a reimbursement basis, contingent upon the successful completion of the project, the results (human gain) and fully meeting the requirements of the investment agreement.
