MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Sept. 24, 2018) — Manatee County is accepting applications for two seats on the Health Council of West Central Florida to represent Manatee County.

Manatee County is accepting applications for representatives to occupy the following seats:

  • (1) Health Care Consumer over the age of 60
  • (1) Health Care provider

The Health Council of West Central Florida (HCWCF) is one of eleven health councils established by the Florida Statute in 1983 (F.S. 408.033). It is a private non-profit agency governed by a board of directors appointed by County Commissioners to represent the concerns of health care consumers, providers, and purchasers at the local level. HCWCF serves residents in Hardee, Highlands, Hillsborough, Manatee and Polk counties.

Applicants should be knowledgeable about healthcare and willing to meet on the second Thursday of each month at 3:30 PM at the Health Council offices located at 550 N. Reo St, Tampa, FL.

Applications are due Oct. 2 at 3 p.m. The application may be found at: www.mymanatee.org/government/advisory_boards/health_council_of_west_central_florida. All applicants must complete the new form, even if they have applied previously since the application has been updated.
