County offices closed Sept. 2 to observe Labor Day

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Aug. 21, 2019) – Manatee County Government offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 2 to commemorate Labor Day.

Trash, recycling and yard waste collections for the week will be postponed one day from Tuesday through Saturday for residents in unincorporated Manatee.

Manatee County Area Transit, Longboat Key Shuttle and Handy Bus operations will be suspended on Labor Day. The Anna Maria Island Trolley and Beach Express will operate on Labor Day.

Manatee County parks, preserves and beaches will be open to the public. Manatee County and Buffalo Creek Golf Courses will be open. G.T. Bray Recreation Center facilities will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2. Blackstone Skate Park and G.T. Bray Skate Park will be open.

Central Library, the only county library normally open on Mondays, will be closed.
