County offices closed Sept. 6 to commemorate Labor Day

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Aug. 31, 2021) – Manatee County Government offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 6 to commemorate Labor Day. Trash, recycling and yard waste collections for the week will be postponed one day from Tuesday through Saturday for residents in unincorporated Manatee.

Manatee County Area Transit fixed routes, the Longboat Key Shuttle and Handy Bus operations will be suspended on Labor Day. The Anna Maria Island Trolley will operate on Labor Day.

Manatee County parks, preserves and beaches will be open to the public. Drainage improvements are taking place in the Coquina Beach public parking areas. Currently, the northern end of the Coquina Beach parking lot is closed while construction crews work to improve stormwater drainage and parking conditions. During these improvements, parking access will be limited to all beach guests and market vendors throughout the Labor Day holiday weekend. Please see map below for available parking locations. Manatee County and Buffalo Creek Golf Courses will be open. G.T. Bray Recreation Center facilities will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6. Blackstone Skate Park and G.T. Bray Skate Park will be open.

Downtown Central Library, the only county library normally open on Mondays, will be closed.
