Our goal is to offer a variety of recreation camp opportunities that meet the needs of the community in a safe and fun environment. Register for only the weeks you need or the entire summer; our flexibility allows you to create the program that works for you and your family.

Summer Blast Camp 2018

Two Camp Locations:
G.T. Bray Park Recreation Center – 5502 33rd Avenue Drive West, Bradenton
John H. Marble Recreation Complex - 3675 53rd Avenue East, Bradenton

John H. Marble Park - Camp Registration

Registration on-site at the John H. Marble Complex is limited to the following dates.  Checks only - no cash or credit cards.  If unable to attend any of the dates and times provided, you may register on-site at the G.T. Bray Park location during facility operating hours.

G.T. Bray Park - Camp Registration

Parents may register for summer camp at any time during facility operating hours.  However, if you would like to speak to a summer camp representative during registration, please attend one of the listed dates.

Freshwater Fishing Fun at Jiggs Landing
Session 1: June 4-8
Session 2: July 16-20
9 am - 4 pm, Mon - Fri
$150
 
Cast off on a fish-filled adventure and reel in some fun! Campers will learn how to fish as they discover different types of tackle, learn about freshwater residents of Jiggs Landing, and end the week with an old-fashioned fish fry. All participants will receive a rod reel and tackle box!
 
 
Paddleboard Camp at Robinson Preserve
Session 1: June 18-22
Session 2: June 25-29
8:30 am - 12:30 pm, Mon - Fri

Learn how to Stand-Up Paddleboard this summer, exploring nature while gaining skills on the board. Water safety, paddle technique, and balance will be taught in the calm smooth waters of the preserve all while learning about the local wildlife.

 

 

Right on Target Archery Camp at Rye Preserve

June 11-14
9 am - 4 pm, Mon - Fri

Ready, aim, shoot! Spend a week learning all about archery while developing skills on the range. Each day campers will enjoy a variety of archery themed activities, from skill drills to creating paintings using arrow-popped balloons.
 
 
 
Sun and Fun Saltwater Fishing Camp at Emerson Point Preserve
Session 1: June 18-22
Session 2: July 23-27
9 am - 4 pm, Mon - Fri
$150
 
Grab your rods and get ready to catch a big one! From tackle to take limits, campers will be taught everything they need to know in order to fish in Manatee County’s beautiful saltwater Bays and Gulfs. The week will end in a fabulously fun fish fry! All participants will receive a rod reel and tackle box!
