Tickets for Baldacci Author Event Available for Purchase at Manatee Libraries During Select Times

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (January 29, 2018) –  In addition to making ticket sales for The Library Foundation’s “Evening With David Baldacci” event available online on the Foundation’s Website at manateelibraryfoundation.org/tickets, a representative from the Foundation will be at each of the six library locations at the following select times, enabling people to purchase tickets in person:

  • Palmetto, 923 6th Street W., Palmetto 34221, TUE, JAN 30, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • South Manatee, 6081 26th Street West, Bradenton 34207, THURS, FEB 8, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Island, 5701 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach 34217, TUE, FEB 13, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Braden River, 4915 53rd Avenue East, Bradenton 34203,  THURS, FEB 22, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Downtown, 1301 Barcarrota Blvd. W., Bradenton 34205, MON, FEB 26, 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Rocky Bluff, 6750 US Highway 301 N., Ellenton 34222, FRI, MAR 9, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.   

International best-selling author of more than 30 novels, including Absolute Power and The Camel Club, Baldacci is headlining the Library Foundation’s annual fundraiser, taking place on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at the State College of Florida’s Neel Performing Arts Center. Drawing on his experiences in law, publishing, philanthropy and fatherhood, Baldacci reflects on the twists and turns of his life a corporate lawyer-turned-one of the world’s finest storytellers. 

Proceeds from the evening will continue to benefit the Manatee Library System’s innovative “I am a Lifelong Learner” program, which focuses on improving literacy among Manatee County’s youngest readers. A Lifelong Learner Campaign Coordinator meets families at the point-of-need to offer outreach programs that develop literacy skills, adds summer reading programs at public libraries and enriches parental engagement through informational programs and supplementary resources, such as Early Literacy Kits, new technologies and books. 

Tickets are $100/each for reserved seating and $75/each for unreserved seating. 

A wide range of sponsorships also are available, including the following:

  • Gold Sponsor: $5,000 (includes 10 VIP reception tickets to meet David Baldacci)
  • Silver Sponsor: $2,500 (includes 8 VIP reception tickets to meet David Baldacci)
  • Bronze Sponsor: $1,000 (includes 4 reserved tickets and wine & cheese reception)
  • Patron Sponsor: $500 (includes 2 reserved tickets and wine & cheese reception)
