We created and maintain a street centerline layer in our GIS which is used in the 9-1-1 maps (and many others) and which shows every street in the county. These centerlines also store attributes representing the address ranges along either side of each street segment (between intersections).

We produce detailed maps of all Mobile Home Parks within Manatee County to assist all emergency personnel in locating specific mobile homes.

We also:

- Assist the Emergency Communication Center (9-1-1) in verifying and authenticating the address data that goes into their computer-assisted dispatch system.

- Assist the county's Address Coordinator in dealing with addressing problems and have recently performed a business process assessment for addressing to achieve greater efficiency in these tasks.

- Perform a quarterly comparison of the county’s data with the telephone company’s street address range information to make sure they are in sync.
