MCAT announces service changes during Saturday's Bradenton Area River Regatta

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Jan. 31, 2018) – Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) today announced changes to Saturday routes as a

 On Feb. 3 only:

 

Fixed route service between the Downtown Bradenton Transit Station and the Palmetto Transit Station will be provided via Shuttle buses that will detour to/from both stations, via the DeSoto Bridge. (The Regatta will close the Green Bridge to all vehicular traffic.)

 

The Green Bridge closure impacts MCAT Routes 1, 13 and 201, also known as the North County ConneXion. These routes will begin service at the Palmetto Station southbound and terminate northbound at the Palmetto Station.

 

There will interrupted service on 8th Ave. West in Palmetto all day Saturday.

 

The fixed route detours due to the Regatta Event will be in effect all day on Saturday. Riders can expect travel delays traveling between these Stations, as this is a major event affecting travel corridors in the Bradenton/Palmetto area.
