Manatee County announces 4th of July closures

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (June 28, 2017) – Manatee County Government offices will be closed Tuesday, July 4 to observe Independence Day.

 All trash, recycling and yard waste collections for the week will be postponed one day from Tuesday through Saturday for residents in unincorporated Manatee.

Manatee County parks and beaches will be open to the public. Manatee County-owned golf courses will be open. G.T. Bray Recreation Center and G.T. Bray Skate Park will be closed. Blackstone Skate Park will be open.
Manatee County’s publicly owned natural preserves will remain open.
Manatee County’s public libraries will be closed on Tuesday, July 4 and will reopen Wednesday, July 5. Downtown Central library, the only branch open on Mondays, also will be closed on Monday, July 3. 
Only the Trolley and Beach Express service will operate Tuesday, July 4. Fixed route, para-transit service and Longboat Key Shuttle service will resume July 5.
