Downtown Library hosts Touch-a-Truck event Sat., Jan. 7

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Jan. 2, 2017) – Touch-a-Truck, the popular annual event where children have the opportunity to find out what it feels like to be behind the wheel, returns to Manatee County Downtown Central Library this Saturday, Jan. 7.

 From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., kids will have the opportunity to climb in, explore and honk horns of several trucks. The trucks that will be parked for the event that have been confirmed so far are from National Guard; Manatee County Utilities and Sanitation, such as brush-fire truck and street sweeper; City of Bradenton Police and Fire; construction dump truck; and two monster trucks.

 

This will be the third year Manatee Libraries has hosted this popular free family event.

 

Downtown Central Library is located at 1301 Barcarrota Blvd. West 34205. The event will take place in the North Parking lot (Riverwalk side). For more information, contact Youth Services at 941-748-5555, x6318.
