Abstract: This feature class contains a polygon outlining the boundary of the Peace River Watershed as designated by the Southwest Florida Water Management District, adopted into the Comprehensive Plan by the Manatee Co. BOCC on 11/19/2002. Drainage basin boundaries interpreted and digitized from the USGS 1:24,000 quadrangles. The basin boundaries are categorized according to the USGS Hydrologic Unit Classification (HUC) coding system.
Purpose: Used in planning land use, development, and protection strategies within Manatee County.
