Vaccination Appointment Information

First Come, First served drive-thru vaccination event on wednesday, april 21

Manatee County will hold a first come, first serve drive-through vaccination event at Tom Bennett Park on Wednesday, April 21 from 8 a.m. to noon for first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. No appointments are required. Please print and complete a consent form to bring to the site. The second doses for this event will be provided on Wednesday, May 19 from 8 a.m. to noon.   

The information on this page is for vaccine recipients who have been contacted by Manatee County and booked an appointment for their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

What to bring

You will need to bring the following to your appointment:

  • Valid form of identification (driver's license, passport, etc.) showing your age and matching your booking information (or medical provider credentials for healthcare workers)
  • Completed Department of Health COVID-19 Vaccine Screening and Consent Form - This will also be available on-site at your appointment.
  • Proof of Florida residency - You must show a valid Florida driver's license or ID card, or any two of the following:
    • A deed, mortgage, monthly mortgage statement, mortgage payment booklet or residential rental or lease agreement.
    • One proof of residential address from the seasonal resident’s parent, step-parent, legal guardian or other person with whom the seasonal resident resides and a statement from the person with whom the seasonal resident resides stating that the seasonal resident does reside with him or her.
    • A utility hookup or work order dated within 60 days before registration in the medical use registry.
    • A utility bill, not more than 2 months old.
    • Mail from a financial institution, including checking, savings, or investment account statements, not more than 2 months old.
    • Mail from a federal, state, county, or municipal government agency, not more than 2 months old.

Please verify the location of your vaccine appointment on your confirmation call/text/email. Some groups are being scheduled for vaccination at local hospitals. If you are getting vaccinated at a DOH or FDEM site, see the information below.

Vaccines are currently being provided at 2 locations (in addition to local hospitals):

  • Bennett Park (Department of Health)
  • Public Safety Center (Florida Department of Emergency Management) - NOTE: Currently only second doses are being administered at the Public Safety Center

What to expect

Expect to spend about an hour at the site. You will remain in your car the entire time.

You will be asked to remain 15 minutes after receiving the vaccine to monitor for symptoms. People with a history of significant anaphylactic reactions to vaccines will have a 30 minute symptom monitoring period.
