Manatee Wreaths Across America Ceremony

Manatee Wreaths Across America logoEach December since 2005, National Wreaths Across America ceremonies have been held to Remember and Honor Veterans by placing wreaths on their graves.

Last year Manatee County's Mansion Memorial Park Cemetery was added to the over 2,000 Wreaths Across America annual sites.

Their ceremony will take place Saturday, December 19, at 10 AM. All members of the public are invited to attend the outdoor event, which will start promptly with the Posting of Colors by the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps, Maritime Eagles Division.

Guest speakers include City of Palmetto Mayor, Honorable Shirley Groover Bryant, and Gold Star Mother, Kelly Kowall of Ruskin (founder of My Warrior’s Place, a retreat center for Veterans). The Guest of Honor is WWII US Army Veteran Marvin White of Bradenton.

Mansion Memorial Park Cemetery is lcoated at 1400 36th Ave. E. (Ellenton-Gillette Road).  The event is sponsored by American Legion Auxiliary Unit 325 (Ellenton).
