Manatee Libraries – Library Card Design Contest

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MANATEE COUNTY, FL – Express how much you love your library! The Manatee County Public Library System is asking the community for help with designing new library cards.

The libraries will be rolling out a new key tag option for our library cards and we need some fresh new designs to get people excited and proud to use their new library cards.

The contest is open to all Manatee County residents, and it will be split into three age groups: youth up to age 10, teens 11-17, and adult 18+. A panel consisting of library staff members will judge the entries and determine winners for each category. All artwork must be original, previously unpublished, and free of copyright restrictions. Artwork will be judged on creativity, design, and how well the artwork represents the library's message “Your Learning Connection.”

Upon submission, participants grant the Manatee County Public Library System all rights to the artwork and consent that all artwork may be displayed and/or reproduced without limitation and without compensation. Entries must be accompanied by a signed entry form. Limit one (1) entry per person. Do not include your name on the artwork.

The contest will run from July 1st to July 31st. A full list of rules is listed on the Manatee Libraries library card contest, along with downloadable forms for the application and template for creating a design.

Submissions can be dropped off at any of our library branches, or emailed to [email protected]
