As you may know, Mr. John Barnott has retired after serving as the Manatee County Building and Development Services (BADS) department director since 2008. Although the leadership of this department will change, our commitment to customer service, the hallmark of our Building Department will not.
The County is in the process of searching for a new Department Director. The executive leadership team will be searching for candidates who have a proven record as responsive leaders with reputations for providing excellent customer service. During the recruitment and hiring transition, there will be no change in the permitting, inspections, or development review processes.
