Michele Davis, Manatee County’s Grant Division Manager, spoke at the Board of County Commissioners meeting on October 7, 2025, to give an update on building out the Lasting Manatee recovery programs, as well as our RFP (Request for Proposals), which has moved to the status of Intent to Award. Check out the video above to see our full discussion with the Board.

During the meeting, Davis shared tips on staying up to date with our status and answered relevant questions from Commissioners Dr. Bob McCann (District 5) and Mike Rahn (District 4). After the update, the board opened the floor to hear comments from residents. We’re continuing to encourage feedback from you and your neighbors as we build disaster recovery programs that reflect real needs.
