Michele Davis, Manatee County’s Grant Division Manager, delivered a briefing on the status of Lasting Manatee (CDBG-DR) to our Board of County Commissioners on July 29, 2025.

She shared a long-awaited update from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), confirming they have approved our CDBG-DR Action Plan, which lays out the details of coming recovery programs in housing, infrastructure, and mitigation. The Board additionally approved documents that will progress Lasting Manatee through the next milestone in HUD's requirements to begin using CDBG-DR funds: the Financial Management and Grant Compliance Certifications.
