The Manatee County Community & Veterans Services Department focuses on providing vital social services, supporting veterans, enhancing public health, and fostering community engagement. The department offers a range of programs aimed at connecting our community to valuable resources, rehoming pets and keeping the promises made to our military Veterans and their families.

Each year, the Community & Veterans Services’ team collectively brings in grant dollars and facilitates essential services for Manatee County residents that have contributed to a high quality of life as proven by continued rising property values and home sales, stable employment and high consumer spending. 

We provide support that fills gaps in Manatee residents’ lives to help them remain employed or become reemployed, stay in school, rehabilitate, gain new skills or make ends meet. We facilitate, partner with non-profit agencies and organizations and oversee human services that fulfill a wide range of needs.
