Manatee County, FL Notice of Plan Availability for Citizen Comment Notice of Public Hearing Draft Substantial Amendments to the 2019/20 and 2024/25 Annual Action Plans

Manatee County is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to prepare an Annual Action Plan that describes how the County will allocate Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Program, and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds to meet the needs of low- and moderate-income residents. Manatee County has prepared a summary of Substantial Amendments to the 2019/20 & 2024/25 Annual Action Plans to describe the creation of projects under the newly awarded ESG - Rapid Unsheltered Survivor Housing (ESG-RUSH) grant, as well as the creation of a new project under the CDBG-CARES Act (CDBG-CV). The Substantial Amendments reflect the changes to the original plans.

1. Allocate $138,654.00 of uncommitted CDBG-CV funds to 23106 Turning Points - CDBG-CV Non-Congregate Shelter #2, for a new total of $298,654.00.
2. Allocate $97,766.00 of uncommitted CDBG-CV funds to 23171 HOPE Family Services – Domestic Violence Shelter Rehabilitation.
3. Allocate $278,180.00 of uncommitted ESG-RUSH funds to 23344 Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice Inc. - ESG RUSH Rapid Rehousing / Homeless Prevention.
4. Allocate $90,000.00 of uncommitted ESG-RUSH funds to 23377 Turning Points - ESG-RUSH Housing Assistance & Move-In Support Program.
5. Allocate $29,850.00 of uncommitted ESG-RUSH funds to CVS/ESG-RUSH Administration and Planning.
