MANATEE COUNTY, FL (October 27, 2021) – To help “Get Out The Vote” in this year’s special election, Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) is offering free fixed-route bus service on election day, Tuesday, Nov. 2.

Manatee County Board of County Commissioners approved free bus rides throughout the day on Nov. 2, 2021, to encourage voters to participate in the election process.

MCAT Route 99 buses traveling into Sarasota County will also be included in this service. Handy Bus passengers can ride free by pre-scheduling a ride to or from a designated polling location. Their “ticket to ride” is their voter ID card.
