Manasota Neighborhoods Summit AdThe Neighborhood Services teams of Manatee County, the City of Sarasota, and Sarasota County invite current and aspiring neighborhood leaders to the annual Manasota Neighborhoods Summit taking place virtually via Zoom this Friday, February 26, 2021, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

The annual regional event brings together those interested in helping improve their neighborhoods through information and resource sharing involving trends impacting the health and safety of neighborhoods. This year’s topics include crime prevention and neighborhood beautification.

Past meetings have consisted of Home Owner Association (HOA) board members, community managers, city officials, pastors, social service providers and residents.

This is the first year the Manasota Neighborhoods Summit, which has taken place since 2018, will be held virtually. While the event normally focuses on face-to-face networking and a neighborhood tour, event organizers wanted to give interested parties a forum to discuss how they have adjusted to the challenges during the pandemic and share any innovative ideas they have implemented. The event team is currently collecting feedback from residents via their Together While Apart online survey
