Affordable Housing Advisory Committee

Affordable Housing Advisory Committee

Manatee County has an opening on the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, a volunteer committee that makes recommendations to County Commissioners on Affordable Housing Incentives.

Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis and may be completed online.


Applications are open for the following positions: 

  • SEAT #8: Actively serves on the local planning agency


The group meets on select Mondays six times a year at 3 p.m., or as needed, in the Fifth Floor Manatee Room of the County Administration Building at 1112 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton. Meetings will be held starting August 16, 2021 through June 2023.

Children's Services Advisory Board

Children's Services Advisory Board

Applications are being accepted for six seats on the Children's Services Advisory Board (CSAB), which makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners about priorities and expenditures of the County's dedicated millage for children's services.

The following open seats on the CSAB are for three-year terms that begin Oct. 1:

  • one Department of Children & Family representative;
  • one Licensed Mental Health representative;
  • one United Way representative;
  • two child advocates, not affiliated with any agency receiving County funds.

There is also one open seat on the CSAB for a one-year term that began in 2019 and will expire Sept. 30, 2022. This vacancy is for:

  • one child advocate, not affiliated with any agency receiving County funds.

Applications must be submitted by Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m.

Applications must include:

  • Advisory Board Application
  • Children’s Services Advisory Board Supplemental Questions (included on application)
  • Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Employees, owners or voting board members of agencies that receive funding from Manatee County, or individuals who contract with agencies that receive County funding, are not eligible to serve as a child advocate on this advisory board.


The CSAB meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Manatee County Administrative Center, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. The board meets weekly during the annual program funding review process from April through early June; and a full day retreat in October each year.
