Bad Debt Write Off

Authorization for the Parks & Recreation Department to write off bad debt totaling $217.48.
Florida State Statute 17.041 requires Board of County Commissioners approval of bad debt write off.
The Clerk of the Circuit Court requests departments to annually submit uncollectible items to the Board for write off.
The Fiscal/Administrative Division of the Parks & Recreation Department receives returned item notifications from Bank of America.
Staff contacts the respective customers for collection of all returned item notifications.
Whereas the majority of returned items have been collected, only two remain uncollectible. These items have been assigned to Manatee County's collection agency on bid.
The Parks & Recreation Department is requesting authorization for the bad debt write off for the following items:

Florida ABL, Inc. $122.48
