Action Requested
Authorization to execute Interlocal Agreement between East Manatee Fire District (EMFD) and Manatee County for temporary relocation of Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) due to the demolition and reconstruction of EMFD Station #2.

Enabling/Regulating Authority
Goal 12.1 - Intra governmental and intergovernmental coordination.

Background Discussion

EMFD Station #2 located at 803 60th Street Court East, Bradenton, will be demolished and rebuilt.  The anticipated time frame is 8 - 12 months.

EMFD will provide the modular unit, relocation, and daily operating expenses of the temporary station.

The County will provide related funds for finalizing infrastructure costs, utility connections, Wi-Fi, and alerting system.

The County will provide access to the agreed upon location within Bennett Park, a county-owned park located at 400 Cypress Creek Boulevard, Bradenton.

The County and EMFD desire to relocate to a temporary location for the purpose of responding to emergencies.
