Enabling/Regulating Authority
Chapters 125 and 127, Florida Statutes. Manatee County Comprehensive Plan Goal 5.1 addresses the safety and efficiency of forecasted vehicular demands.  

Background Discussion
  • The Ellenton Gillette Road Intersection Improvement Project (U.S. 301 at Ellenton Gillette Road) was approved in the FY 2014-2018 CIP 381-6035161.
  • On June 20, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners executed a Purchase Sale Agreement from CSX Transportation, Inc., for Parcel 9 in the amount of $18,000.00.
  • CSX Transpiration, Inc., has requested a modification to the legal description and sketch (Exhibit A) to the Purchase Sale Agreement.
  • The revised legal description and sketch now depicts 0.07 acres, an increase of 0.03 acres, and will be conveyed to Manatee County at no additional cost.
  • The First Amendment to Purchase Sale Agreement requires execution by the Board of County Commissioners to amend the original Purchase Sale Agreement in order to close this transaction.
