On December 7, 2011, the Applicant conveyed a drainage easement to Manatee County as part of the development requirements for Esplanade Subdivision, Phases I and II. The easement was conveyed to the County prior to the configuration of Phase II, but includes drainage for both phases. When the Applicant finalized the configuration of Phase II, it was determined that the recorded easement encroached on four platted lots in Phase II. Currently, there are no improvements within the area of the easement. The Applicant has requested that the County release the affected easement area to the Applicant in exchange for a relocated easement area just west of the original location.
The Stormwater Engineering Division and the Public Works Department have been contacted without any objections to relocating the easement for drainage purposes.
