Execution of First Amendment to Contract for Sale and Purchase of a Warranty Deed with The Whisenant Family Limited Partnership for the purpose of roadway improvements at the intersection of Ellenton Gillette Road and US 301.
Chapters 125 and 127, Florida Statutes. Manatee County Comprehensive Plan Goal 5.1 addresses the safety and efficiency of forecasted vehicular demands.
The Ellenton Gillette Road US 301 Project was approved in the FY 2014-2018 CIP.
The right-of-way is needed to allow for future intersection improvements at US 301 and Ellenton Gillette Road to enhance the utilization of the existing roadway facility and upgrade to current Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) design standards. Roadway functional improvements to include widening of exiting roadway to 24 feet, roadside ditch piping, and shoulder enhancement where necessary.
This first amendment to the Contract is necessary to correctly include the final, negotiated attorney's fees and costs due to Harrison, Kirkland, Pratt & McGuire, P.A., within the Purchase Price for the proper disbursement of funds at the time of closing.
