Florida Department of Transportation Off System Maintenance Agreement

Adoption of Resolution R-16-040 and authorization for the Chair to execute the Off System Maintenance Agreement between FDOT and Manatee County for safety improvements to the signalized intersection located on 34th Street West at 60th Avenue West.
Florida Statute Chapter 125 - County Government
FDOT has proposed safety improvements to a County owned signalized intersection located on 34th Street West at 60th Avenue West. The improvements include updated crosswalk pavement markings and new left turn traffic signal indications. These improvements are to be funded by FDOT as Project #433416-1.
To fund this project, FDOT requires the County adopt a resolution and enter into a maintenance agreement to maintain these improvements. Costs for maintaining this equipment is included with the maintenance activities already funded in the current budget.
The FDOT requested that the resolution and maintenance agreement are consistent with FDOT's Local Agency Program (LAP) procedure.
The County Attorney's Office has reviewed the agreement and requested modifications which FDOT has incorporated (attached).
