Hurricane Readiness Month - June 2017

Adopt Proclamation designating June 2017 as "Hurricane Readiness Month" in Manatee County, Florida.
The goal of Manatee County’s Hurricane Readiness Month is to promote preparedness for tropical storms and hurricane hazards that can potentially affect our area during the Atlantic Hurricane Season that begins June 1st.
The Manatee County Division of Emergency Management will be sharing disaster planning information to highlight how to get ready for severe and tropical weather including thunderstorms, tornadoes, floods, and hurricanes. Residents, visitors, and businesses are encouraged to learn about hurricane evacuation levels, evacuation routes, and hurricane shelters available in Manatee County, in addition to learning about emergency alerts and notifications.
