Background Discussion
  • The applicants, Wayne and Brenda Price, are requesting a vacation of a portion of a utility easement located at 5114 88th Street West in Bradenton.
  • The Bay Lake Estates Phase 1 plat was recorded on March 14, 1980, in Plat Book 20, Page 67.
  • A portion of a fifteen (15) foot utility easement that is encroached by their pool is the area proposed to be vacated.
  • Jurisdictional reviews by appropriate County departments and private utility companies serving the area to be vacated have been notified of the intention to file a vacation and have no objection.
  • The vacation application complies with the technical requirements of the Manatee County Land Development Code and pertinent Florida Statutes.
  • All matters identified in the Request for Legal Services (RLS) have been addressed. Florida Power and Light (FPL) and Dave Branning, Senior Engineering Technician, Public Works, have no objection. FPL and Dave Branning amended their response in June 2017 to no objection.
  • All expenses associated with the subject vacation will be paid by the applicants.
  • Manatee County's application filing fee of $800 has been paid.
