Florida Department of Environmental Protection Agreement for the Wastewater Clarifier Retrofit - Southwest Water Reclamation Facility Project

Authorization for Chairman to execute the State Financial Assistance Agreement between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Manatee County for the Wastewater Clarifier Retrofit - Southwest Water Reclamation Facility Project.
Section 125.01 Florida Statutes, and Chapter 63-1598, Laws of Florida, as amended.
Manatee County will implement the retrofit of two (2) primary wastewater clarifiers utilizing an Advanced Activated Sludge process (Modified-Ludzak Ettinger) at the Southwest Water Reclamation Facility in order to enhance nitrogen removal.
The grant, in the amount of $1,000,000, will be utilized to offset costs associated with the project.
