Action Requested

Adoption of Resolution R-17-079 modifying the assessment roll for Sunny Shores by combining parcels owned by Dennis W. Rossow & Delores D. Rossow.

Background Discussion
  • August 21, 2001: The Board of County Commissioners (BCC) adopted Ordinance 01-39 which established the Sunny Shores Street Lighting Municipal Service Benefit Unit (MSBU).  The assessment was $24.24 per unit.
  • August 25, 2009: The BCC adopted Resolution R-09-173 which amended the assessment roll for Sunny Shores by decreasing the assessment to $19.00 per unit.
  • Dennis W. Rossow & Delores D. Rossow are included in the Sunny Shores Street Lighting MSBU.  They have recently purchased Lots 35 and 36 and have combined them into one parcel.
  • The attached Modification Resolution needs to be adopted by the BCC to combine the parcels and modify the assessment roll for Sunny Shores.
