Guthrie and Diana Valencia, husband and wife, for property located at 1912 Fort Hamer Road, Parrish, Manatee County, Florida, for construction of a potable water main crossing the Manatee River from Fort Hamer Road to Upper Manatee River Road
• Record Affidavit of Ownership and Encumbrances from Aaron W. Guthrie and Diana Valencia, husband and wife
• Record Joinder and Consent from First Federal Bank of Florida

Background Discussion

Manatee County proposes to construct a potable water main crossing the Manatee River from Fort Hamer Road to Upper Manatee River Road.  This new water main crossing will provide Manatee County with a second water main supply line to North County.  This project is a CIP-approved project.

The Property Acquisition Division requested the County Attorney's Office to commence and prosecute eminent domain proceedings in order to acquire the remaining necessary interests, Parcel 803 (Aaron W. Guthrie and Diana Valencia).

As a result of negotiations, a settlement was reached with the landowners, and the Contract for Sale and Purchase for a Permanent Easement was presented to and entered into by the Board of County Commissioners at its December 17, 2013, meeting.

The conveyance documents for Parcel 803 are hereby presented to the Board of County Commissioners for execution, acceptance, and recording.
