Recognition of the following Partners for hosting Business and Community Meetings for the Southwest County Improvement District:
Central Economic Development Corporation, Wells Fargo Bank, First Bank, Peace Lutheran Church, South Manatee Library, and EZRA Restaurant.
On October 1, 2014, the Southwest County Improvement District (SWTIF) officially began with the goal promoting economic growth in the Southwest sector of Manatee County.
Leading up to the beginning of the SWTIF it was extremely important that the Business community be given the opportunity to comment on their observations of what was needed to support economic growth in this portion of the County.
Equally important was the need to educate the public on the goals and purpose of the SWTIF and how it would impact them.
Various meetings were held throughout the community during 2014, specifically designed to discuss the formation of the SWTIF.
Through a contractual partnership with the Central Economic Development Corporation, public meetings were strategically organized to present the SWTIF Plan.
Today's presentation recognizes the partners who volunteered their facility and participated in the community meetings: Wells Fargo Bank, First Bank, Peace Lutheran Church, South Manatee Library, and the former EZRA Restaurant.
