Reimbursement Agreement for SR 70 and Lockwood Ridge Road Intersection Improvements

Authorize the chair to execute the Reimbursement Agreement for SR 70 and Lockwood Ridge Road Intersection Improvements between the County and Wawa Florida, LLC.
Section 125.01, Florida Statutes
Wawa Florida LLC (Developer) proposes to design and construct a northbound to eastbound right turn lane at the intersection of State Road 70 and Lockwood Ridge Road, including related sidewalks and traffic signal modifications (Roadway Project).
Developer seeks reimbursement for the Roadway Project. The attached agreement sets forth the terms under which the Developer designs and constructs the Roadway Project shown in Exhibit B of the agreement and the County provides reimbursement. It does not specify a maximum reimbursable total, but the current estimate is $39,000 for engineering and $232,909 for construction, for a total of $271,909.
The funds used to reimburse the Developer will be Road Impact Fees from the southeast benefit district. Developer is currently constructing two Wawa stores in the southeast benefit district that are expected to pay a total of approximately $200,000 in road impact fees.
Staff recommends Board approval of the agreement.

Please return one copy of the original, signed Agreement to Sia Mollanazar, P.E., Deputy Director, Engineering Services, Public Works Department. A separate original, signed copy shall be available for pick-up by the Developer.
