  • Accept and Record Warranty Deed from Lakewood Ranch Stewardship District; and
  • Execution and Recording of Agreement for Right-Of-Way Island Improvements from Lakewood Ranch Stewardship District; and 
  • Record Affidavit of Ownership from Rex E. Jensen as Chairman for Lakewood Ranch Stewardship District.


Enabling/Regulating Authority
Florida Statutes, Chapter 125.  Manatee County Comprehensive Plan Goal 5.1 addresses the safety and efficiency of forecasted vehicular demands.

Background Discussion
  • A segment of public right-of-way at White Eagle Boulevard, formerly known as Pope Road, is being dedicated by the Lakewood Ranch Stewardship District.  
  • Final approval for the proposed right-of-way dedication has been issued by appropriate Pubic Works staff after review of pertinent information. 
  • The public right-of-way runs north and south located along the western boundary outside of the future Esplanade Phase II subdivision development.   
  • The area being dedicated contains 509,360 square feet or 11.693 acres, more or less.
  • This public right-of-way segment is a conditional requirement within Manatee County Zoning Ordinance PDMU-05-19(G)(R7) Northwest Sector, shown on Page 7, Paragraph B.(9)b.
  • An Agreement for Right-Of-Way Island Improvements is being submitted simultaneously for approval in conjunction with this public right-of-way dedication for required installation and maintenance of improvements upon the medians and the right-of-way.
