Background Discussion

Mark Lewis and Christine Lee Lewis were issued a building permit by Manatee County on April 30, 2015, to build a single-family home on a parcel located at 445 Horseshoe Loop Road, Terra Ceia, Florida 34250.  The parcel contained a large amount of wetlands.  According to the Manatee County Land Development Code §706.08(b), a conservation easement is required to be dedicated to Manatee County with the purpose of protecting and preserving the wetlands on the parcel.  A Conservation Easement was prepared by staff and will cover 177,477 square feet of the parcel which represents the wetlands and conservation area contained thereon.
