Action Requested

Adoption of Resolution R-15-170 authorizing the acceptance of a grant award from the FDOT and/or expenditure of grant funds pursuant to the grant award.

Authorization for the Chair to execute an agreement with FDOT for the Litter Removal Program in the amount of $147,366.57 for the time period October 15, 2015, through September 15, 2018.

Background Discussion
  • At various times funds from the FDOT are made available to governmental entities for litter and debris removal.
  • FDOT has made $147,366.57 available for a three-year period for the purposes of litter/debris removal.
  • Manatee County historically has contracted with Keep Manatee Beautiful for these services.  Agreements will be brought forth with Keep Manatee Beautiful for the operation of this program. 
  • This Agreement does not encumber County funds.
