Background Discussion
The Board of County Commissioners held a discussion of its 2013 Legislative Platform during their regular meeting on Oct. 9, 2012. The platform allows the Board to take a formal position on some of the most important state and local issues, and to weigh in on topics being proposed by the Florida Association of Counties. The Board's adopted platform will serve as the basis for talking points when meeting with members of the Manatee County Delegation on the issues important to this area.
This version of the platform includes input and edits suggested by the Board during the October 9 discussion.
