Enabling/Regulating Authority
Florida Statutes Chapter 125 and Manatee County Ordinance #91-42

Background Discussion
  • On 9/18/14 the Board adopted Fiscal Year 2014/2015 budget that included funding for Non-Profit Agencies funded through Children's Services Dedicated Millage.
  • FY14/15 Agreements with each of those agencies have been prepared to provide the appropriate funding mechanism and service level accountability.
  • Agreements specify that funding recipients must perform specific levels of service and submit documentation supporting the performance of a specified number of units of service as defined in each agreement.  Agencies are also required to submit an audit and proof of insurance.
  • Agencies may be visited multiple times throughout the contract year by Community Services Department staff members, and monthly desk monitoring is conducted.  The listed agencies and programs have been reviewed and recommended for funding by the Children's Services Advisory Board.
