This report is provided for information only. No Board action is requested.
This agenda item has been scheduled for staff to review the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) FY18-FY22 Draft Tentative Work Program with the Board in preparation for the MPO Board discussion.
The FDOT's Work Program is a five-year schedule of State and Federal funded improvements. They are primarily capital improvements, but also includes some local operations and maintenance support. The State programs a portion of funds based on project priorities established by the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) with its member agencies, including Manatee County. Therefore, and as a stakeholder, the MPO Board will review the program and provide comments during the regional agency and public involvement process leading up to the 2017 legislative session. It is expected to be scheduled for the MPO Board discussion on December 12, 2016.
Attachments include the draft program and an "Additions, Reschedulings and Deletions" report, which is a limited form of variance report between the adopted program and the draft program. The discussion for this agenda item will include an overview of projects in the draft program.
