Manatee County Resolution R-14-88
- On November 18, 2003, the Manatee County Community Redevelopment Agency approved bylaws for the 14th Street West Community Redevelopment Area Advisory Board. The bylaws implemented Resolution No. R-03-243 adopted by the Board of County Commissioners which established and created the Advisory Board.
- The bylaws contained administrative provisions governing the 14th Street West Community Redevelopment Area Advisory Board, including purpose and duties; rules of procedure; election, terms of office, vacancies, and removal or resignation of the chair and vice-chair; regular and special meetings, quorum requirements, notice, location, and agenda for meetings; designation and role of the clerk; and procedure and effective date for amendments to the bylaws.
- On June 17, 2014, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. R-14-88 which repealed and rescinded Resolution No. R-03-243 and abolished the 14th Street West Community Redevelopment Area Advisory Board. The bylaws are no longer necessary due to the elimination of the Advisory Board. The Board has held work sessions earlier this year to discuss the concept of dissolving the 14th Street West Community Redevelopment Agency and establishing the Southwest County Improvement District.
